Hello! You’ve found me.
I’m Polly, a copywriter, editor, translator from French and general word nerd.
You’ll currently find me copywriting and editing for the Jamie Oliver Group by day, making and eating pickles by night. In past work lives I led the editorial strategy for the indie publisher Gallic Books (now part of Pushkin Press), and ran all things communications and tone of voice for the food media brand Sorted Food. More here!
My published translations include the memoir of chef Alain Ducasse, as well as novels by Stéphane Carlier, Antoine Laurain and the early French feminist Marie-Louise Gagneur. In addition to these, my translation of an extract from Seynabou Sonko’s brilliant debut novel Djinns was selected for publication in the final edition of the White Review. I have also penned commercial translations for major brands such as L’OCCITANE.
